Welcome to your library ONLINE!

The library is located at the front as you walk into the building. It is open M-F from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Your librarian is Ms. Stimpson and your librarian’s assistant is Ms. Burke.
All students may access the library to check in and out books. Students may check out up to two books at a time and will have three weeks with the book. Students are responsible for returning borrowed library materials in good and clean condition. ALL of these titles are optional reading, if you or your parent/guardian do not like the book you checked out, return it to the library and get another one.
Checked out books not returned within 24 hours of the due date will be marked as lost and a charge for the cost of the book will be placed on the student’s library account until the book is returned. Once the book has been returned charges and fees for it will be removed. We do NOT charge late fines for books. If a student has lost a book they borrowed, they may submit a gently used copy of the same title or a similar title in place of the lost book and the charge will be removed from their account. Please note, for this option we need to know the name of the student for the account from which we need to remove the fine.
Book of the Month is a program run through the library that can provide a student the opportunity to earn extra credit in their classes. To participate, check out the English or Spanish title available on the Book of the Month bookcase and after you have read it, complete the assignment that was given to you when you checked out the book. Books are due within two weeks of checking it out and the assignment is due by the end of the month. If you complete the assignment to the best of your ability and according to directions, you will earn a Golden Ticket that Ms. Stimpson will send to the teacher of your choice to redeem extra credit for that class. Alternate titles are available, if an extenuating circumstance exists whereby the student is unable to read the current available title.
Other services available are support in finding books, access to online databases for research, support in planning a research project/paper, access to eBooks through the online catalog, as well access to basic school supplies and hygiene supplies as needed. During common times, students may work on assignments, play chess/checkers or other card/board games upon request, rest, color, draw, and so on.
All students are expected to keep a low volume of voice in the library, be respectful of others and their property, as well as responsible for themselves and their actions. Students will be required to sign in when they enter the library for the purpose of tracking usage, as well as in the event of an emergency. Discipline will be handled according to the school’s discipline policy.
